Freedom April 9-12, Haggadah

The word "haggadah" means to tell....

The Passover is a story of Freedom...so

The holiday, our Easter is about FREEDOM from the bondage.

What is our "freedom" becoming today?

What do I consider "freedom"?

America.... the land of the FREE, the home of the BRAVE...

we are a nation established

on God..

"one nation, under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL"

I am thinking about this NOW... today.... what does our FREEDOM mean to us? to me?

The three questions posed (usually by a child) at a Jewish Seder meal are these (and others):

1) Who are we?(who are sitting around this table)

2) Where did we come from?
3) What do we stand for?

Ours is a story of freedom!... Ours is a country based on FREEDOM...

Ours is a GOD of liberty in Him

Lord, may I not ever forget the cost of freedom... for this country,

but more, the price YOU paid for my very life.

"Who is Noel and why do I have his stocking?" spoken by Will the first Christmas we added his stocking to the group... it said NOEL... and in Christmas noel... funny Wibbie!

"I'm going ALONE this time (Sam)"... "I know Mr. Frodo, and I'm going with you!"... "but you can't swim"... from Fellowship of the Rings end scene as Frodo decides he has to carry the burden alone, but his friend (my FAVORITE character), Sam is "a brother who loves him more than life" and proves "I'M STILL HERE!!!

"Eddy, Julie julie julie laerry laerrry laerry almost ate a bug".. SJ telling Elly that Julie REALLY almost ate a bug.... I'll laerry hate it when they stop saying things like "droat, dunder, nummy, and laerry"

"Hurry mom, Hurry... I hear the "dunder" and it's really really raining... hurry mom, you need to feel the rain!" ....TR's encouraging his mother to hurry and play in the last of June West Texas rainstorms... as the DUNDER rolls!

"Tahtee, my droat hurts".... TR's word for throat... maybe he needs some "macamoni" to be easy on a sore throat?

If there's an elephant in the room, why not introduce him?

What is REAL?

although for most of my reader friends this is unnecessary,
I feel I must qualify this blog space of mine...
******this will not be a great revelation, but.....*******
My life is not perfect, AND I'd never choose another!
For those of you who know me, you know that these things
I write are merely the glimpses
I WANT or CHOOSE for you to see.
(I have wonderful people who ground me to reality regularly... most of the time they are under 12 years of age ...the most purely honest people there are!)
I love sharing these snapshots with you, and I love your responses here or in person, but more than that, I love the opportunity to put WORDS to "paper" for my often forgetful self. People for whom "words" are a primary language, this is the perfect outlet! VOILA.... I get to "speak" my language and those who choose may "listen". Thanks for letting me share!
