Will & Cody Walk... do you REMEMBER YOURS?

We get to pick them up today.... from, what to some, is life altering, and to others is renewing, and to others, new relationships and a time of reflection. Those of you who have been, do you remember? what was it for you?
I find it interesting the images that Rembrandt chose... don't you... what was he thinking during the time he painted his heart for this event in the "life" of Jesus? What was he trying to show us that was his heart for this time?
De colores to you my friends (the first time I hear this ... well, really heard this, was at breakfast and Mary Crumbliss was just singing her heart out with all the guests there at our morning meal before we left... I still see her face! One of Troy's an my dearest friends was the lay leader for this walk.. such a man of God, Danny Haddox! There were so many faces last night as we lit our candles.....so many familiar faces......sweet sweet spirit in that room. We were afraid the crosses KG had so carefully colored wouldn't fit in the boxes....but lo and behold.....there they were stuffed into the packets!
This beautiful Spring Sunday morning.....exactly 1 week after our celebrated Easter (interesting timing wouldn't you say).... we pick up Will and Cody. I am wondering what was it for them?

Easter Treasure Hunt 08

Meet at Eric the Red at 11:30AM sharp... that was the cryptic message left with the mommies on the Eve of Easter 2008. There will be THE STORY, hidden treasure, and eventually lunch under the old oaks at the back of the land...
Eric is not too far from the house. It is a big old red oak so named by Ellena because of his brilliant Fall attire... Eric the Red, was our meeting point on this special Saturday before Easter Sunday.
After hearing (notice, I didn't say LISTENING)... to the first part of the Easter story, we began our pilgrimage to the back... I told them... look for treasure along the way... you never know what you'll find... just like the ladies going to the tomb. They'd been told by Jesus that in 3 days He would rise again,
but I'm thinking they weren't so sure as they took the trek
to the tomb that day...

When they got there,

prayers they had yet to pray had already been answered....

no longer was a stone covering the tomb... and greeting them may have been one of the same ones who announced HIS birth...

"for unto you a child is born..."... and today...

"a SAVIOUR given"... it is Christ the LORD!

Each child on our pilgrimage wrote a prayer and placed it in a jar along with a "jewel" they'd discovered on our route to the prayer chapel.

We dug in the sand, found animal tracks by the tank, ate sandwiches on the big rocks, and watched Shiloh laugh as his daddy poured water over his head.

I think we all were anointed today as we started a tradition.....

a pilgrimage... a treasure hunt.....a special time of remembering what this season is about.

I thank our Lord for His perfect gift...

for His sacrifice and for the right He gave me to be called His......

I'm loving being a part of all of you who love our Lord...

we ARE HIS BODY, and HE IS ALIVE and COMING SOON.

HOSANNA!

(don't you love that word?

I never hear it anywhere except in reference to holy times..... HOSANNA!!!)

Easter 2008 "come inside precious ones"!

May we all know that there is NOTHING (except our own choice) that can separate us from the LOVE OF GOD that is in CHRIST JESUS!
May we know that we are allowed in~~~~
He opened the "door" as He paid the price for us to enter in.
... I am hoping for each of us a holy season of understanding that OUR GOD dwells in temples not made by human hands and that those temples are us...... what an amazing thought.... what an amazing LORD, what an incredible PLAN! He alone is God...... and HE LOVES ME and YOU! HOSANNA TO THE KING OF KINGS~ blessed Easter to us all...
Give us eyes to see and ears to hear......thank YOU JESUS.

They're here!

After a traumatic day,
THEY ARE HERE!!
(to read the extended version... click on my other blog, "puppies")
But here is one of our beautiful new babies, 1 boy, 1 girl, the LAST ONES of their kind!
I thank the LORD for our precious pets and what they bring to us. May we always know that life is a gift we should NEVER take for granted. I am blessed to have my Latte and her family all alive and well! Thank you Dr. Hilton, Dr. Doran, Troy (for telling me.. don't hesitate), and all you who prayed us to this place. IT'S a GOOD day!

Tahtee I have a great idea!

Tahtee, I've got a GREAT idea
can I paint your face?
or even better, can I paint both our faces? I promise not to make it too messy!
Tahtee, I've got a great idea...
let's go outside and pick your flowers and put them in the grass halos that I can make for us... really Tahtee, they'll be pretty and your flowers will grow again, I know they will

Tahtee, I've got a great idea,

can I paint your fingernails?I've watched them when we go get our toes done (just us girls) and I know just how to do it. Really I do Tahtee, I'll make your fingers sooooo pretty. But don't look until I'm finished or it won't be the great surprise I want it to be.
How many times have I been so busy with my things that I've missed the moments?

How often have I thought about what I was doing, had done, or was fixing to do, that I've missed the little moments that come for such a short time in our lives?

What does a little blue paint on my face matter amidst the wrinkles that I wish were fewer and farther between? I think the blue looks spectacular amidst those little brown spots lovingly earned!

What does it matter that there are a few less flowers in the gardens that I've tended to and waited for the blossoms?

What does it matter that my fingernails are GREEN, and not just any green, but St. Patrick's Day Kelly green with "sunrise stripes" and a purple sparkle sun... instead of the more pristine french manicure of the other grandmothers I might know.

My beautiful and creative granddaughter wants to be with me and she wants to give me the gift of her best creative efforts.

I think I'll leave the green nails for a while (St. Patrick's Day is in a week :) and I can't wait for the grass to get long enough for her wonderful crowns to grace some lucky person's head and adorn it with my BEST and most BEAUTIFUL blossoms. Maybe it can be me again!

These moments are priceless (see my other blog of "words" for more of my thoughts here)... these moments don't last long, and who knows when will be the last time my KG will say..."Tahtee, I have a great idea.... can I paint your face? decorate your fingernails? spend the night with you and Poppy? play "Scramble" *scrabble with phonetically correct spelling rules*, or simply and oh so specially... can I sit in your lap? I may not know the "last time", but believe me, I'm gonna make the most of each time I am given these priceless opportunities. I know that time is fleeting and I'm absolutely loving the place I am right now! Hey KG, I've got a great idea! ... ya wanna go get Peyton braids and have our toenails decorated today?

He dreamed the dream!

I was thinking of you today and wondering the age old question:
What are you doing right now?
As I thought of this and imagined your day, I heard some words from deep inside...
I dreamed of you my precious ones But
You are NOT my dream!
I prayed for you with a fervent heart, But
You are not my prayer.
I hoped for you as mothers do, But

You are NOT my hope.

I'm glad God placed you in my wolrd, But

You are NOT my world.

I'd never ask for you to be what only God can be,

I'd never ask for you to live... a dream He meant for me.

I'd NEVER want to choose your life...

For it is yours to live!

I'd never ask to hold your keys,

For you alone can be... the part that only God could know

for gifts He placed in you...

The part that you alone can choose....

so be what you can be.

I love it that He let me hold your sweet sweet hands in mine,

But

Know this

My precious one...

He is the One Who makes the plans!

He is the One Who dreamed the dream!

And...

Only He can choose for you, the best that you can be.

I trusted Him then.... with all my hopes,

And still I lean that way.

He will finish well what He began, and thankful I will be!
Because He let me be the One
Who held you close at first.
I've made a place inside my self that will always be yours alone.
You can visit any time you want,
but know
that I know
that
You are not my dream,
You are way beyond...
You are part of HIS!
and...
I cherish every moment
every memory,
everything YOU CHOOSE to share!
Nothing changes what my heart feels
That belongs to you alone...
Nothing I expect of, or from you,
and
nothing you do or do not do will ever change
what I feel for you...
I love you.......with all my heart....... I love you!

Only God could have dreamt the dream... because these two young lovers didn't have a clue what love would bring their way... I pray that His dreams are always becoming our dreams and that love builds every bridge we and those beyond us walk across.

Know... our precious ones, that you make us so very proud to see what you are and how you manage the things of God in your lives.

You fly

You shine

You see and you hear!

my heart sings... hallelujah to the KING of KINGS Who clearly reigns forever more!
