The end of Spring Break brings Hope of a Harvest!!!! LET'S START A VEGETABLE GARDEN!!! Tahtee will buy our stuff! You bet!

The end of the Spring Break brought gorgeous Texas weather

and

a new project for our Gap Crew!

A vegetable garden!
All the row markers were handcrafted by the eager agriculture entrepreneurs.
Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles and ALL the kids got into the process! These plants were bedded down by novice gardeners who will be awaiting God's partnership in the endeavor!

You can believe that NO ONE walked on the straight nylon lines marked out perfectly by JTC!

A break from fences, cows and pipe led both dads into the fun with their wives and children!

You can believe this Tahtee got such joy as she watched the group effort!

Opportunities to teach were everywhere!

.... and the work became FUN!!!

Plants went in first, then came the tiny little seeds... Again right along the straight lines!

(this way we'll know exactly where they should begin to grow so we won't step on the seedlings)

Along the sides went the marigolds and the 4 O'clocks...

because every garden MUST have flowers! and besides... they are great bug deterrents!

I love you MOM!!! I love you Dad!!!

WE LOVE YOU TOO!

these words were lavished on my precious ones this fun day!

and finally.... because we live in deer country.....

potato peelers and Irish Spring soap were scattered in strategic areas!

Yes my beloved ones.... "the fun way is the happy way"

and we all know where the roots to that happy tree reside!

In the deepest and most tender "water" we know!
