The boys turn 6 this year!!!
I remember 6 years ago when a very pregnant Em sat in the Abilene hospital waiting for our first grandson to be born. Her doctor in Henrietta said it was okay for her to go ONLY because his own colleague from med school was El's attending doctor. (SJ was due only a couple weeks from TR!!!). Nothing kept big sister from being at this birthday 2004.
Then this year, Sept. 12, 2010.... we all go to the Ranger game for TR's bday.... how fun, since the Texas Rangers are on a roll! All the way to the finals they go and then they run into that Wild Child California pitcher who so reminds me of the way their grandad pitched!
From Ranger's Stadium To the Survivor Man b'day on the hillside.... Sept 12th was a 6 year old birthday to remember. SJ and TR are 6 this year!
How fun to have all these new school friends, and then also the baseball and basketball buddies of both SJ and TR to test their "survivorman" skills. (The big bucket of grassy goop that they were to make into clean water was something this Tahtee was not so sure about.... do they really have to drink it?)
The kids are divided into teams so that they can go on a scavenger hunt. PopT set up red cones so that there were at least a few boundaries to the game. I'm not so sure the girls were as excited as the little boys on this adventure.

From Ranger Baseball to the still green hillside of the GateWay GetaWay cottages. This year's bdays were ones to make history.
Thank You Lord for what you've put into our boys....
TR is quickly walking into the destiny of laying foundations and bringing encouragement that clearly You've chosen and spoken this year for him.
SJ is steadily moving on to the place of balance, discernment and judgement You've ordained for him.
Lord it is clear that Your hand of guidance is steering these boys into the men that You planned since before the foundations of the earth.
Thank You Lord for TRD and SJC.
They bless me as I am watching them GROW into the young boys who will be Your men.
