August 3rd week 2010 PADRE

Padre this year brought the past and present into sharp focus as the families of the
girls who had come to the beach with us through the years,
brought their own families to the same shores!
Early morning runs and prayer times at sunrise....
Lowes, Pitts, Fieldings, Callaways, Dorans, Troy and I splashed into a week of pure pleasure!
Even daddies enjoyed hours of release from the
mundane days spent in the normal work routine.
Jeff picked up the ancient practice of casting a net....
and don't even ask Troy about fishing on that early morning jaunt.
Seems that too was Jeff's forte and NOT my guy's gift for that particular morning.
Aaron's boat was an adventure for all the guys.... No, Aaron, Troy has never really considered himself a sailor... ask him about motors and jet boats, but NOT about sail boats.
These families fit together well because the foundations were laid long before any of them saw this for their futures. I love it that God does that, don't you?
Jeff, you shouldn't have "admired" the glasses so much!
Another year we got to give our fish to the ones who were catching lunch,
not simply enjoying the sport.
"Tahtee, are there really pirates out here?"
"yes, it just so happens that this year there were indeed pirates at Padre!"
Nothing like walking the beach with the one you love!
Or sitting on OUR sandbar... I do think it was placed there just for us!
a misty sunrise in our favorite spot....
kisses at sunset.....
... the endless task of digging and building, or
simply enjoying the moments of one on one time!!!!
Like footprints left in the sand,
these memories that were made this year were marked on our hearts.
But unlike the footprints, they will never be washed or blown away,
but kept treasured as each year we get to add new ones!
I love each of you dearly!
I cherish the moments we are allowed on this earth with family and friends,
often one and the same!
